This book deals with the subject of printed cotton fabrics in Asia (mainly India, China, Japan and Java) from the late eighteenth to the nineteenth century. The author examines not only the trade in these textiles, but also the style and designs of the cotonnades, as well as a brief history of cotton. Examples of these fabrics from Asia are presented at the end of the book. |
